These events may cover a wide range of topics such as data analysis, business intelligence tools, digital marketing, and e-commerce . IT Club serves as a hub for students interested in the strategic use of technology in a business context.
An essential part of “Hands on Learning” for students at any level of higher education is through the Students’ Clubs. Participating in Marketing Magic, the Marketing Club for Management Students hones their marketing skills and imperative, because there is a vast difference between what is learnt as theory and concepts of marketing in the classroom and the application of concepts in the field. The Marketing Club gives a platform for students to orient themselves to practice the art and science of Marketing. The Marketing Club focuses on Marketing games based on creating marketing strategies, advertising and promotional campaigns on imaginary products, simulation exercises, learning from marketing practitioners through workshops, inter-college marketing competitions etc. Marketing Luminaries are also invited to our Corporate events which are also marketed by the Club.
The Finance Club at IMM - Bear and Bull is a stepping stone towards excellence in the domain of Financial Management, emphasizing on supremacy of initiatives in the areas of Finance. It is an initiative to nurture financial acumen in budding managers by various activities and special sessions with industry experts. The Club is designed to not only educate students but also reach out to Industry Leaders and have periodic sessions to expose students to various practical aspects of Finance. Additionally, the Club is focussed on organizing various case competitions and events that further drive the interest of the cohort towards Finance and its real-world implications.
The purpose of “HR Club” is to enhance and support highest ideals in Human Resource Management. The Club endeavours to help students develop interpersonal skills needed in the Corporate World and aims to encourage them to interact with HR Professionals to learn more about Latest Human Resource practices. As a student led activity, the HR Club involves students to take the lead in organizing events on a regular basis to promote team spirit and implement HR concepts in a practical manner. Student members conduct and participate in seminars, projects, publish reports, newsletters, and other materials related to the HR profession. The HR Club provides a forum for discussion on modern & trending HR practices and also invites leading HR Managers to interact with all the members. Year long events enable students to gain insights into latest happenings in the field of HR. The plethora of activities include : Conferences, Games, Seminars, Debates, Quizzes etc.
The Operations Club promotes rational thinking and helps making complex things simple. Operations is the core of every business and plays a pivotal role in any business's success. It enables students to think beyond classroom learning which aligns them with current industry practices and activities. The objective of Operations Club “OPMAC” is to understand and develop the interest of students in different fields of Operation and Supply Chain Management. The aim is to bridge the gap between the classroom sessions and practical understanding of operations. OPMAC takes up the responsibility of engaging students in various activities while ensuring that they derive value from them. To make the Club very interactive, various events and competitions are organized, such as Simulation Games, Case Study Competitions, Guest Lectures, Panel Discussions and more.
E-Cell supports the development of Budding Entrepreneurs by offering an Entrepreneurial Environment. It helps students to learn and increase their Entrepreneurial Knowledge as they get to learn about how to start a Venture, importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), what to look for in a Co-founder etc. E-Cell also provides the right atmosphere for Entrepreneurs to work on and grow their ideas and learn important business skills like : Leadership, Time Management, Financial Planning, Negotiation, Research, etc. To achieve this goal, the Cell has introduced several projects which have already been conceptualized and effectively developed to bring out the hidden Entrepreneur in every student. Our most recent Success Story is ‘Grrind Coffee’, an Entrepreneurial Venture by three of our Year I students who launched their Start Up at our Corporate Event in March.
Soft Skills Club has been set up to equip students in today’s highly Competitive World with the right knowledge of required Soft Skills. Soft Skills are more challenging to develop as they are a combination of skills like Communication, Confidence, Decision Making, Leadership, Affirmative beliefs, Stress Management, Crisis Handling, Emotional Intelligence, Creativity, Etiquette, Team Spirit, Self-Grooming, English Speaking and Writing and many more, that empower students to face not only corporate challenges but also prepare them for their personal endeavours. Soft Skills Club activities attempt to bridge the gap between Campus to Corporate for students and help them transition smoothly into the Corporate life by improving their confidence, which facilitates them to prepare and present their college projects smoothly, deliver satisfactory results and also influences their personal life by improving how they interact with others.
We at IMM focus on holistic development of our students and thus Parampara - The Cultural Club has been set up. For an Institute with so many diverse activites, a core committee that looks after smooth functioning of all of these events is much needed and Parampara is solely focused on the same. The Cultural core committee is the hands behind smooth functioning of all the cultural events and comprises of students from both senior and junior batches who were vetted according to their capabilities which brings in their own unique sense of diversity to all events. Parampara as the core Cultural Club has organized multiple events over the years. The Club always aspires to be better than what it is today. This Club has been launched to spread the importance of French Culture, French Companies & Business Environment, French Cuisine, French as a Language and the Relations between India and France. By learning French, students increase chances of employability in French Companies in India as well as Overseas. The French Club enhances learning of this language as French is spoken globally and is also very rich in culture. The Club organises visits to French Libraries, French company events and also invites Corporates from French MNCs in India to address the members. One of our AACSB accredited Global Partners – Brest Business School is also located in France making it all the more important for our students to learn French.
IMM SQUAD - The Sports Club of IMM has been launched for our enthusiastic students who love to showcase their talent in sports. The Institute has various Indoor and Outdoor sports facilities like Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Snooker, Badminton and more. Students are encouraged to spend time in honing their Sporting Skills along with their Management Skills. The Club also organises lectures by Eminent Sports Personalities to ensure students understand the concept of Dedication, Concentration and Perseverance. Intra college competitions are also held regularly to enhance team spirit. The Club organises Cricket and Football matches in neighbouring Sports Complexes.
